On our way to Kyiv Airport

Updated: Oct 5, 2023

And the day came to pack our bags and head to the airport...

Once all the immigration documentation was in order, we began our happy preparations to travel to Argentina, another important step in the surrogacy process.

We cannot deny we felt a little nostalgic: the month we spent in Kyiv, Ukraine, was immensely joyful and provided an unparalleled opportunity to share the first days of our baby, fully immersed in our little family world, getting to know each other and enjoying each other to the fullest.

Fortunately, our booking for our return flight was scheduled for two days after we were given the passport, so there was no need to change the ticket. We only had to add a ticket for the youngest member of the family, which we could only do once we had his passport number.

So, we had one day to pack and get ready for the most beautiful flight of our lives... As usual, we had transportation arranged by the surrogacy center, a van with enough space for luggage, a stroller, and all the baby essentials. Although our apartment was well-equipped, we had brought along and purchased quite a few things that we found useful for taking care of our little one on the go.

Once at Borispol Airport, after going through the security checkpoint, the immigration process naturally took a bit longer than usual. They not only checked our passports but also thoroughly examined our baby's birth certificate, what was entirely understandable and necessary for a minor leaving the country.

Once in the departures area, we stayed at the the Priority Pass lounge, thank to the access granted by our credit card. When traveling with a baby, having a comfortable, peaceful, and hygienic space to wait for the flight makes a significant difference.

There were only minutes left before we boarded the flight that would take us to our home country after a stopover in Paris.

Don't miss our second experience in Ukraine at a new surrogacy center, this time as a family of four.
