It makes us happy to see that, in 2024, the Ukrainian government continues providing a similar box to families with newborns in the country, as shared by this beautiful Argentine family whose daughter was recently born in Ukraine at the same surrogacy center where our daughter was born.
Not all surrogacy centers offer this package, so it's advisable to inquire beforehand if interested.
Watch this video recorded by Andrés and Mariana, proud parents of Julia, to explore the items received upon discharge from the maternity clinic, given by Ukraine Now, the government organization that provides a box with everything needed for the first year of a baby's life.
The contents, as detailed in the video, are surprisingly identical to what we received in 2021 when our own babygirl was born, reflecting the care given to early childhood in the country:
Unisex cotton clothing from "newborn" to one year.
Baby playmat.
Blankets and sheets.
Crib mattress and covers
Hooded towels.
Electronic thermometer and bathtub thermometer.
Liquid and bar soap.
Diapers and wet wipes.
Moisturizing creams for diaper rash.
Nail scissors.
Cooling teething toy.
Rattles and other toys.
Thank you, Mariana and Andrés, for sharing your experiences in Kyiv on this wonderful journey of surrogacy.
