In addition to the birth kit provided by the surrogacy center, which we showed in previous posts, 'Ukraine Now,' a government organization, provides all children born in Ukraine (whether or not they were born through surrogacy) with a huge box of useful items for babies up to one year old.
This box was so large that it barely fit in the car trunk on our way back from the maternity clinic. Click on the video to watch in detail everything it contained, which is listed below:
• Unisex cotton clothing from newborn size to 12-month size.
• One Piece Snowsuit
• Play gym mat
• Blankets, sheets, quilts, and waterproof mattress covers.
• Hooded towels.
• Electronic thermometer and bath thermometer.
• Liquid and bar soap.
• Diapers and wet wipes.
• Moisturizing creams for diaper rash.
• Nail scissors.
• Cooling teether.
• Rattles and other toys.
We found it to be an excellent initiative by the government of Ukraine to ensure that all babies have what they need for their care during their first months of life.
This was particularly meaningful for our family, which grew through surrogacy in that country.
