Watch the video to learn a detail that we noticed on many of the newborn baby clothes we received in Ukraine during our surrogacy process.
Unlike larger baby sizes, in the case of the newborn size, seams are visible, which initially gave us the impression that the finishing was not very neat. In reality, this outward-facing seam serves the purpose of preventing friction and protecting the delicate skin of newborn babies.
Starting from the next size up, seams are not visible.
This is a detail we hadn't seen in other countries, and we found it interesting. We found it both in the clothing given to us by the surrogacy center in the birth kit and in the box sent to us by the Ukrainian government through the organization 'Ukraine Now' for the baby's first year. We have also seen it in infant clothing stores in Ukraine.
It's a way to take care of babies and ensure that their skin doesn't come into contact with irritating textures.
