Georgia continues to be a destination for families worldwide who resort to surrogacy.
Below we share the testimony of an Argentine couple who went to the same surrogacy center we chose at its Tbilisi headquarters in Georgia, and they are currently expecting their baby.
Upon arrival in Tbilisi, they were greeted by the surrogacy center's driver with a local coordinator who accompanied them on the journey.
From the airport, the surrogacy center took the family to a hotel in the heart of Tbilisi's beautiful tourist center.
The cost of the surrogacy program in Georgia, like in Ukraine, includes private car transfers and accommodation and meals for every couple on the first trip.
Once settled in the hotel, the coordinator in Tbilisi picked them up to go to the clinic, where they had a consultation with the specialist in assisted reproduction, underwent medical studies and had the genetic material extracted.
After their visit to the clinic, the coordinator took them to lunch at a restaurant with delicious Georgian cuisine, and they enjoyed the afternoon exploring the city, from the strategic location of the hotel.
The next day, they received the results of the genetic material analysis and blood tests, which enabled them to start treatment.
In less than a month from that first trip, the egg donor chosen by the family was undergoing ovarian stimulation, the eggs obtained were fertilized.
Blastocysts underwent preimplantation genetic testing, and the gestational carrier was designated in less than two months, and the embryo transfer was performed, with a positive pregnancy test later.
Communication with the family during the pregnancy is handled by the same Spanish-speaking coordinator based in Ukraine that we had in our own process, who informs the parents at every stage of the pregnancy.
Additionally, parents have a chat group with the gestational carrier for daily contact.
The family highlights the excellent care of the medical team in Tbilisi.
