This was one of our visits to Roshen, an Ukrainian factory of sweets, chocolates, and pastries that ranks 27th in importance globally, with a variety of 350 different products: gummies, candies, chocolates, wafer bars, cookies, pastries, cakes, and other sweets.
It has a chain of stores in Ukraine, each one specially themed and with the premise of offering quality products at a reasonable price: all of them have very colorful shop windows and decorations according to the time of year.
On special dates, you can find themed gifts: on our last trip, we got chocolate figures and children's Christmas boxes.
We also found it an excellent place to buy souvenirs for friends and family: teddy bears with the Ukrainian football team's jersey for our children and historical Kyiv collection boxes. We also saw keychains, thermos flasks, mugs, and reusable bottles.
Our favorite sweets: Konaffetto filled with hazelnut cream and filled chocolate bars (Lacmi).
A curiosity: the name Roshen derives from the surname of its owner, Petro Poroshenko, who was also President of Ukraine during the period 2014-2019.
